Bootstrapping life..

'Change is the only constant' reminded a friend, when I faced the dilemma of executing the radical decisions I had made.

The things that we own end up owning us, the start to a radical shift for me was by auditing the things that I owned and consumed. Other aspects such as friends, relatives, career choice, etc shall come subsequently.

While I had been able to part easily with the idea of validation through a social media post, parting with the things I had collected was one of the hardest things to do. I would have shifted so many places in my college life as well as my career later on, but I never mindfully filtered the things that I carried and kept with me all along which in turn occupied lot of space physically as well as in my mind.

Fashion that is sold to us through some idea of a temporary mood shift called 'trend', some festive offer, end of season sales, festivals, office meetup dress codes force us to feel the fear of missing out, yada yada yada... in hindsight it dawned, all the consumption wasn't worth it!

In an attempt to declutter the mind, I decided to move to a minimalistic space, own things that are necessary with an attempt to declutter the mind, simplify life and create space for the work that really mattered, watch more sunsets, gaze some stars, listen to the birds sing, create some art.....
